Highlight: Security Experiences and Trends

More than 250 industry participants joined the Vector Automotive Cybersecurity Symposium in April. BMW, Continental, Sysgo, and others presented solutions to current and future security challenges. An exhibition enhanced the presentations where Vector featured tools and cybersecurity solutions: TARA, Fuzzing, PenTesting and more. In the breaks and again in the evening the visitors further discussed the topics directly at the exhibits with snacks and drinks.

Practice: Safety and SOTIF

Functional safety is evolving fast. ISO 26262 ed.2 is currently ramped up across companies. Safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF) is the emerging safety topic for autonomous systems. Vector Consulting presented automotive safety trends in our spring roadshows and trainings in China, Korea and USA. We show current automotive trends and consulting project experiences on ISO 26262 ed.2, SOTIF, AUTOSAR, Cybersecurity and agile transformation.

Stimulus: Open up for new things

Where do new things come from? Creative ideas usually need distance and a change of perspective. We often block ourselves with an overly rational view of things, such as thinking "we tried that before", or "my supervisor is just like that". My recommendation: Take another point of view, change the environment. Small changes open us and we realize what we would not have perceived otherwise: The solution to a complicated task. A fresh stimulus to deal with a difficult person. The best moments are surprisingly those we do not expect: different, amazing and electrifying. Open yourself up for new ideas and perceptions.
